Foods that contain pickled or preserved meats are also considered as cancer causing foods. Since they hurt the stomach, digestive cancers are the primary cause of such foods. Foods like bologna, bacon and hot dogs are added sodium nitrate for preservation. Sodium nitrate is a high risk ingredient for anyone who is trying to avoid stomach cancer. These cancer causing foods should only be taken in minimum amounts and on rare occasions.
